This Privacy Policy describes how the Labzank mobile application (“App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use the App on Android. Labzank provides Balochi literature, an offline dictionary (Naganj), books, and Balochi text-to-speech / speech-to-text features (Tawarenk).

2. Information we collect
Labzank is designed to minimize personal data collection. The App does not require you to create an account, and it does not ask for your name, email, phone number, or payment details.
2.1 Information you provide
- Text you type or paste for dictionary search, Latin/Arabic conversion, or speech generation (Tawarenk).
- Microphone audio when you use speech-to-text search in Naganj (only if you grant microphone permission and start recording).
- Content you choose to share (for example a post title/link/image or generated audio) through your device’s share sheet. Sharing is controlled by you and the apps you select.
2.2 Information processed automatically
- Network / connectivity status to know when the device is online for literature, dictionary sync, downloads, and speech features.
- Technical requests necessary to load content (for example IP address and standard HTTP request metadata may be processed by our servers or third-party providers as part of normal internet communication).
- Local app data such as an offline dictionary database and temporary audio/cache files stored on your device.
2.3 Information we do not collect
- We do not use advertising SDKs or show third-party ads in the App.
- We do not use analytics/tracking SDKs to build advertising profiles.
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not collect precise GPS location.
- We do not access your contacts, SMS, call logs, or photos (except files you explicitly choose to share via the system share sheet).
3. How we use information
We use the information above only to:
- Show Balochi literature posts, images, and book listings from Labzank.
- Provide offline dictionary search and optional dictionary updates.
- Convert Balochi Arabic ↔ Latin script for display and TTS.
- Generate speech from text and transcribe speech to text when you use Tawarenk / mic search.
- Enable sharing features you start yourself.
- Maintain, secure, and improve App reliability and performance.
4. Permissions
The App may request the following Android permissions:
- Internet / Network state — to load literature, sync dictionary data, download books, and use speech services.
- Microphone — only for optional speech-to-text dictionary search. Recording starts only after you grant permission and tap the mic control. You can deny or revoke this permission in Android settings; other App features still work.
5. Third-party services
To provide certain features, the App sends limited data to third-party services. Those services process data under their own terms and privacy policies.
- Labzank servers / website (labzank.com) — used for literature posts, books metadata/download links, and optional dictionary sync. Website: https://labzank.com/
- Hugging Face Spaces (speech features) — when you use text-to-speech or speech-to-text, the App may send your entered text or a short audio recording to Hugging Face-hosted Balochi TTS/STT services for processing. Privacy information: https://huggingface.co/privacy
- Android system share targets — if you share content, the destination app (for example messaging or social apps) receives what you chose to share, according to that app’s policy.
We do not control third-party privacy practices. Please review their policies before using related features.
6. Data storage, retention, and security
- On your device: dictionary data, temporary TTS/STT audio files, and caches may be stored locally. Temporary recordings used for transcription are intended for processing and are not kept as a permanent user profile by the App.
- On servers: content requests and speech processing requests are handled as needed to provide the feature. We do not operate an in-app user account database for Labzank Android login.
- Security: network requests use encrypted HTTPS connections. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate for this App.
- Retention: local cache/temporary files may be cleared when you clear App storage or uninstall the App. Server logs, if any, are retained only as long as reasonably needed for operations and security.
7. Children’s privacy
Labzank is a cultural/educational language app and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
8. Your choices and rights
- You can deny microphone permission and still use literature, dictionary typing, books, and TTS text features.
- You can stop network use by turning off mobile data/Wi‑Fi (offline dictionary may still work for already synced data).
- You can clear App data or uninstall Labzank to remove local App storage on your device.
- Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data. To make a request, email techzone.gwadar@gmail.com.
9. Data deletion request
Because the App does not create user accounts, there is typically no account profile to delete. To request deletion of any personal data that may be associated with your use of Labzank services, email techzone.gwadar@gmail.com with the subject “Data deletion request — Labzank App” and describe your request. We will respond within a reasonable period.
You can also remove local App data anytime by uninstalling the App or clearing App storage in Android settings.
10. International processing
Depending on where you are and which feature you use, processing may occur on servers in different countries (including servers used by Labzank hosting and Hugging Face). By using the App, you understand that your requests may be processed outside your country of residence, subject to applicable law.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy. Material changes may also be noted on labzank.com.
